fifteen herbs, fifteen stones, and fifteen figures engraved upon
them, which is attributed sometimes to Hermes, presumably
Trismegistus, and sometimes to Enoch, the patriarch, who "walked
with God and was not"

Fifteen Stones was composed in 2004. It is a piece for solo piano and computer. The musical score is created in real time using virtual reality and stochastic principles. Fifteen Stones is not a music for prepared piano, in its conventional sense - if we have one. In fact, the stones change the colour of the piano sound - but, nobody knows where and when they will act. It is divided into two movements. The first movement is worked inside the piano. Small stones collected in different parts of the world. Stones with different sizes and forms. All these small stones are connected to water, in one or other way: rivers and sea. The stone is a temporal interconnector par excellence. The computer's real time and the astonishing time that stones are. Two different natures of programming. Different oppositions… or complements, the human being and the object - not one content of the other, but only everything as process. Stones and strings. Stone and computer, hardware and software. No one knows its exact duration. Perhaps, a half hour - depending on the score that will be created. Human and no human, or post-human, natural and artificial, all like a single singularity. Fifteen stones is dedicated to René Berger.
Quinze Pierres à été composée en 2004. Il s'agit d'un concert pour solo piano et ordinateur. La partition musicale est créée en temps réel utilisant la réalité virtuelle et des principes stochastiques. Quinze Pierres n'est pas une musique pour le piano préparé, dans le sens conventionnel - si nous avons un sens conventionnel pour ça. En réalité, les pierres changent la couleur du son du piano - mais, personne sais quand et la place où ils iront opérer.Elle est divisée en deux mouvements. Le premier mouvement est travaillé à l'intérieur du piano. Des petites pierres ont été rassemblées dans différentes parties du monde. Pierres avec différentes dimensions et formes. Tous ces petites pierres sont liées à l'eau, dans un ou autre forme: les rivières et la mer. La pierre est un inter-connecteur temporel par excellence. Le temps réel de l'ordinateur et l'échelle fantastique de temps qui sont les pierres. Deux natures différentes de programmation. Oppositions différentes… ou compléments, l'être humain et l'objet - pas un contenu de l'autre, mais simplement tout comme processus. Pierres et cordes. Pierre et ordinateur, hardware et logiciel. Personne ne connaît sa durée exacte. Peut-être une demi-heure - dépendant de la partition que sera créée. Humain et non humain, ou post-humain, naturel et artificiel, tout comme une seule singularité. Quinze Pierres est dédiée à René Berger.
Quinze Pedras foi composta em 2004. É um concerto para piano solo e computador. A partitura musical é criada em tempo real utilizando realidade virtual e princípios estocásticos. Quinze Pedras não é uma música para piano preparado, no seu sentido convencional - se nós pudermos considerar a existência de um sentido convencional para tal. Na realidade, as pedras mudam a cor dos sons do piano - mas ninguém sabe quando e onde elas acontecerão. A composição é dividida em dois movimentos. No primeiro, é trabalhado o interior do piano. Pequenas pedras escolhidas em diferentes partes do mundo. Pedras com diferentes tamanhos e formas. Todas essas pequenas pedras estão conectadas com água, por uma ou outra via: rios e mar.
