I met Luís Pintão some time ago, not long ago, about two years. It was during the preparation of an exhibition by the brilliant Swiss-Brazilian artist Cláudia Lima, a dear friend whom I admire very much. We soon became friends. I met Sara. A lovely couple. And their daughter, Leonor, who is just as lovely. Luís is a special person, extremely attentive, observant, a sensitive soul. The ancient pre-Columbian Toltec Indians, in what is now Mexico, who flourished between the years 950 and 1150 of the common era, claimed that a large part of the world's population was made up of ghosts. Beings who pass through life without being aware of it, only of the small things of immediate perception, of "entertainment", and departed leaving no trace. Luís and Sara are not ghosts. In both of them the eyes shine. I soon discovered that Luís was an artist - a word that is so often abused these days. Ironically, most people seem to have become artists, but not in the sense attributed by Joseph Beuys, on the contrary! Everyone seems to define themselves as an artist in a universe where art no longer exists. Therefore, everyone defines themselves as non-artists, believing in the opposite. In the last instance, art is philosophy. Unlike illustration or decoration - which are very worthy human activities - art is the critique of culture in its modus operandi. That is, taking criticism from its Indo-European etymological root *krei - which indicated the idea of "sifting", "distinguishing". In other words, criticism as the undressing and revealing of a reality, of a culture. Like art, this revelation always takes place in the depths of the human soul. As soon as I met Luís and his work, I immediately realized that he was a special person, someone dedicated to understanding what thought is, to dreaming the dreams of Humanity, not those of today, but since the most remote Classical Antiquity. Thus, each one of his paintings is a kind of yantra - a visual mantra - through which a person dives into themselves and discovers the engrams that form him or her, the involuntary impulses that reveal his or her volition, his or her persona. These engrams can be more or less obvious. It all depends on the person and the moment, what he or she understands, what he or she interiorly designs in himself or herself.

The world premiere of The New World Order took place in Ascona, Locarno, Switzerland, at the brilliant foundation created by Guglielmina Montano and Massoud Mowlazadeh, dedicated to contemporary art, young people and liberty.
The second presentation of this project could only take place at a very special moment. In 2020, Luís Pintão and Sara Simões Ferreira created Galeria 28ART in Lisbon and, in one way or another, they have maintained the spirit that forged art galleries during the Italian Renaissance, particularly in the 16th century: the gallery as a tunnel, a place of passage and transformation of the human being. In Italian, the word "gallery" means just that: tunnel. Here, one can sell the works of art or not, what prevails is the human transformation, the discovery.

In oneself lies the whole world and if you
know how to look and learn, the door is there
and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth
can give you either the key or the door to
open, except yourself.

Although insistently announced by the most varied totalitarian minds, or critical ones in Orwell's case, for over a hundred years, here the New World Order is not about the future, but about the present. The sounds that make up our cities, our world, the images that penetrate the depths of who we are, every day, every minute, the absence of silence, the massification of everything, the end of capitalism with the obsolescence of money and, paradoxically, the emergence of the Money God. A concert, an experimental film, a text... to think about.

Countless millions will protest against the New World Order, and will die fighting it.
HG Wells

National Socialism will use its own revolution for establishing of a new world order.
Adolf Hitler

The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.
Joseph Stalin

A ruling group is a ruling group so long as it can nominate its successors. The Party is not concerned with perpetuating its blood but with perpetuating itself. Who wields power is not important, provided that the hierarchical structure remains always the same.
George Orwell

We are moving toward a New World Order, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.
Mikhail Gorbachev, 1987

We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order.
David Rockefeller
