Kas Oosterhuis studied architecture at the Technical University in Delft. He worked and lived one year (1987-1988) in the Theo van Doesburg Studio in Meudon near Paris, together with visual artist Ilona Lénárd. Kas Oosterhuis is director of the multidisciplinary practice Oosterhuisassociates where architects, artists and progammers join forces. Award winning projects are: the Saltwaterpavilion at Neeltje Jans, The Netherlands 1997 (Gold Award 1997 for innovative recreational projects, Zeeuwse Architectuurprijs 1998, nomination National Steel Award 1998, nomination Mies van der Rohe Award 1999) and the Garbagetransferstation Elhorst/Vloedbelt at Zenderen, The Netherlands 1995 (OCE-BNA Award for Industrial Architecture 1996, Aluminium Design Award 1997, National Steel Award honorable mention 1996, Business Week / Architectural Record Award 1998). Kas Oosterhuis is the co-founder of the Attila Foundation (1994), which pursues the electronic fusion of art and architecture. He organized and participated in many manifestations and workshops: Artificial Intuition (1990), The Synthetic Dimension (1991), The Global Satellite (1991), Sculpture City (1994), Genes of Architecture (1995), paraSITE (1996). The manifestation Sculpture City has been recorded in the book Sculpture published by 010 Publishers (ISBN 90.6450.229.3). Kas Oosterhuis delivers lectures around the world, and publishes his works internationally.

Before studying visual arts at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, Ilona Lénárd studied acting at the Academy for Dramatic Arts in Budapest. She performed in a number of plays with the travelling Déryné Theatre. As an visual artist Ilona Lénard was awarded several stipendia and scholarships.
