Premise
The First International Meeting of Art and Science The Spirit of Discovery happened in May of 2006, in the ambit of the activities of the Arts, Sciences and Technology Foundation - Observatory, in Trancoso, Portugal.
The 2006 Meeting had a great success, with participants coming various countries, like Portugal, the United States, England, Italy, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Poland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Venezuela and Peru.
The participants were René Berger, Joseph Brenner, Roy Ascott, Alex Adriaansens, Gyorgy Darvas, Marcos Novak, Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta, Gonçalo Furtado, Elisabete Oliveira, Francesco Mariotti, Dove Bradshaw, Monika Weiss, Giorgio Alberti e António Cerveira Pinto.
The event had a special edition of the art and science British journal TechnoEtic Arts, published in Bristol.
The Meeting still had visitants from several countries, like Italy, Mexico and Spain among others.
The Second International Meeting of Art and Science, The Spirit of Discovery, will have as specific theme Low and High Power Societies.
For the Second Art and Science Meeting in Trancoso it is estimated the representation of Portugal, the United States, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France and England.
