BRIEF BIOS

            
 Arijana Kajfes is a visual experimental artist working
            with ideas about light, vision and the borderlines of meaning.
            Completed studies in sculpture at the Royal
            University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm, Sweden in 93 where
            she currently works as a guest professor.

             From 93-95 worked and travelled in Africa and Asia. Between
            97-99 involved in the development of CRAC - an artist's digital
            medialab in Stockholm. Between 99-04 a founding member of Smart
            studio, an interdisciplinary research studio at the Interactive
            Institute in Stockholm. Spent 00-01 as a visiting scholar at Prof. Stephen
            Wilson's dept. of Conceptual Information Arts, San Francisco State
            University,
            exploring possibilities that arise in the convergence of art,
            science and technology. Involved in several interdisciplinary
            experiments. Exhibits frequently both in Sweden and internationally.

             Most recently awarded Honorary Mention in Interactive Art
            at Prix ARS Electronica 06.
