frédéric nantois + fiona meadows

Fiona Meadows, born in 1967, grew up in London and Paris, studied two years in Japan, architect DPLG, DEA (Ma) Architectural and Urban Project, PhD researcher supervised by Jean-Louis Cohen, Assistant Professor in The School of Architecture of Paris-La Villette.

Frédéric Nantois, born in 1965, grew up in a Parisian suburb, studied two years in Japan, architect DPLG, DEA (Ma) Multimedia Communication and Creation, PhD researcher supervised by Pierre Lévy.

Among their various projects and exhibitions, it can be specially refered the participation in the European 3 Competition, in 1993, with a Mention; the participation in the Gifu International Competition, in Japan, in 1993; the participation in the Bauhaus Akademie Competition, Dessau, Germany, again in 1993, with a Special Mention; the selection for The End International Competition, Los Angeles, USA and the participation in the René Sarger Competition, Paris, France, both in 1994; and the 2nd prize in the European 4 Competition, with a project for 140 houses in the Hague. Among their several exhibitions, there are - in 1993, the "Virtual Bauhaus", in Future Bauhaus Competition Exhibition, Pavilion de l'Arsenal, Paris; in 1994, the "Mégalovisions", architectural multimedia Installation on the concepts of the development of the Japanese megalopolis, Galerie Espace, Alliance Française of Osaka, the "Complex(C)ity", Photographic Installation, International Center of Photography of Osaka and the "Trans-figurated Babel", in The End Competition Exhibition, Los Angeles, USA"; in 1995, the "Dérives", Interactive Application, 2nd Biennale of Film + Architecture, Austria, published by Artifice Magazine, n°5, London, 1996, and "The Topology of Nowhere", in Fluctuations fugitives, Group Exhibition (Morphosis, Diller + Scofido, Dumb Type,...), Galery Yvonamor Palix, Paris; in 1996, the "Precast@.com", architectural Installation, Fluctuations fugitives n°2, La Ferme du Buisson, Paris and the "Green and Glocal", Installation, Europan 4 Netherlands, NAI, Rotterdam; in 1997, the participation at the Competitions for abroad, Export, French Institute of Architecture, Paris, the "Incomplete post-utopian tentative", still image, Imagina 97, Monaco, the "Incomplete post-utopian tentative 2", Artifice exhibition, Architecture Foundation, London, the "Green and Glocal", Digital city/critical space, Academy of architecture, Tiburg Cultural Center, Netherlands, the Transarchitectures 02, French Institute of Architecture, Paris (and Columbia University, USA), the "Dérives, the city as a hypertext", video, French Pavilion, Venice Biennale, the "Spaces of non memory Places", Biennale n°3 film + Arc, Graz, Austria (November 1997), for which their were nominated for the International competition. Their works have been published in France, England, the United States among others.
